Sebastian Junger Partners with Outward Bound for Veterans

Sebastian Junger, internationally acclaimed best-selling author and award-winning journalist, has witnessed first-hand both the heroism and tragedy of war. For more than a year, Junger followed troops in the remote and heavily contested Korengal Valley of eastern Afghanistan while filming his Academy Award nominated documentary,"Restrepo". The experience also informed his best selling book WAR.

Junger's personal experiences with war and his insight into the lives of soldiers motivated him to partner with Outward Bound to expand expeditions specifically designed for veterans returning home. Outward Bound is a non-profit, educational organization providing challenging learning expeditions that focus on character development, leadership and service.
