Veterans Day has come and gone this year, but at Outward Bound we are honored to have opportunities to celebrate our veterans throughout the year. Thanks to the work of our amazing volunteers and partners, we have the ability to host events and fundraisers that not only remind of us the incredible sacrifices of our veterans, but also provide us with opportunities to truly support our veterans upon their return from wartime service and in their transitions back to life at home.
Outward Bound is teaming up with the University of Louisville Faculty and Friends Group to host Heroes at Home, an event to pay tribute to our veterans and to raise funds for the Outward Bound Veterans Expedition Program. The night will be filled with 1940’s era music, swing dance lessons, hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and silent auction. The 1940’s theme is a nod to the World War II era, where Americans were actively engaged in supporting their troops; welcoming troops home and helping them rebuild their lives upon return from war.

If you live in the Louisville, KY area, please join us on Saturday December 4, 2010 at 7 pm for the Heroes at Home Fundraiser. All proceeds will be used to support programs and services for our veterans.
Veterans Expeditions at Outward Bound
Outward Bound has been serving veterans for decades, with fully funded wilderness expeditions designed exclusively for them.
