At Outward Bound, we are excited to launch our You Rock Awards this month. From time to time, we will dedicate a You Rock Award to someone we know in recognition of the great things they are doing, i.e. the reasons they rock. Our first award goes out to a young woman who is a recent dogsledding course alum. She had such an incredible experience on her winter wilderness expedition to the boundary waters that she has taken the opportunity to spread the word about Outward Bound in her community and also through our blog.
In the introduction to her recent blog entry, Dog Mushing, Soul Dogs and Ice Rescue: A Peek Into an Outward Bound Student Journal, I mentioned that we would be hearing more from Felicia Wong. Well, here it is. We have awarded Felicia Wong with our very first You Rock Award. See our video dedication and Felicia’s gracious acceptance.
