In recent years, we discovered connecting with crew is more important than ever. OBUSA’s virtual and in-person programming brings our community closer, engaging alumni, sponsors, students, and partners through events that inspire us with stories of connection and growth.

With over a million supporters and alumni nationwide, these events are wonderful opportunities to meet like-minded alumni, introduce prospective donors and celebrate the important work Outward Bound is doing in your city, state or neighborhood.

Alumni Day on the Challenge Course: Philadelphia Outward Bound School

Alumni! Join us on Saturday, June 15, for a day on the James McLane Family Challenge Course at The Discovery Center! 10:00 am – 3:00 pm, ages 13+

Step out of your comfort zone and challenge yourself on the high wires. Enjoy a pizza lunch and have a blast ziplining alongside the Strawberry Mansion Reservoir. Sign up now – spots are limited!

Meet Vanessa Rodriguez, new Chief Executive Officer of New York City Outward Bound Schools, and Bea Armstrong, new Executive Director of North Carolina Outward Bound School, who will join OBUSA interim Executive Director Arthur Pearson and Board Chair Catherine Smith to share exciting plans for 2022 and Outward Bound's 60th Anniversary in the USA.

Inspiring Bold Futures: The Student Experience

OBUSA invites you on a virtual expedition to explore the lasting impact of Outward Bound programming. During this immersive and interactive event, participants will hear students' stories of challenge and growth, get a taste of Outward Bound in the virtual setting through student led short challenge initiatives and learn from Outward Bound leaders about a few of the unique partnerships and programs that are inspiring students to lead lives of purpose and compassion.

REVISIT OBUSA’s SPRING CIRCLE UP

The Spring Circle Up, a town hall event, kicked off OBUSA’s 2021 Virtual Event Series. Together we gathered with School staff and leadership who have innovated health and safety practices during the Covid-19 pandemic to share stories of trials and teamwork as they continue to address the ever-evolving needs of students nationwide.

INVITATIONAL EXPEDITIONS

An Invitational Expedition is a custom course designed to promote the understanding of the mission and programs of Outward Bound, to build support for the work of Outward Bound USA and to provide a significant, impactful program experience. Invitational Expeditions are hosted by key supporters and volunteers with the intent of cultivating and creating new donors and advocates for Outward Bound.
