Canoe expeditions take you across remote portage trails, atop glacier-fed lakes and amidst whitewater river rapids where you’ll dive into skills that confidently move you forward. Carrying everything you need in your water-vessels, you’ll learn to travel light. Canoeing from campsite to campsite, you’ll work together as a crew to maintain momentum, navigate waterways and establish open communication that results in a day well paddled. With each day on course, you’ll learn and grow in areas of water safety, basic paddle strokes, Leave No Trace, compassion and self-confidence. Building character on water that transfers with you on land and in life.
Canoeing expeditions take place across American wilderness. Including the rapids of the Nantahala River in North Carolina, the expansive Rio Grande in Big Bend, Texas, the treasured waterways that make up the Potomac River and the clear blue waters of the Pacific Northwest. Each location presenting its own natural wonders, challenges, lessons and accomplishments to be discovered by each unique crew of students.
